Privacy Policy

When you create an account we collect the information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and profile photo. We also store the content you create in the app — moments, pinned locations, photos you attach, and group activity.

We do not run analytics, crash reporting, or behavioral tracking inside the app. We do not collect device identifiers, operating system version, or a log of your in-app interactions.

We use your information to provide and improve the moments service, deliver notifications you opt into, and support you when you contact us. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

moments you save are only visible to groups you explicitly share them with. We do not share your personal data with other users beyond what you choose to share.

We share data with service providers solely to operate the service:

• Supabase (database + authentication, hosted on AWS)
• Apple — Sign in with Apple
• Google — Sign in with Google
• Expo / Apple Push Notification Service — push notifications

We do not track your activity across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not show advertisements and we do not share your data with advertising networks. moments does not prompt for App Tracking Transparency because we do not engage in cross-app tracking.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in-app, your profile, moments, and associated content are removed from our active systems within a few seconds and from routine encrypted backups within 30 days.

moments uses your location only to let you save and pin places. Location access is optional and only used when you actively add a moment. We do not track your location in the background.

We send push notifications for new moments in your groups and optional "on this day" memories, based on your in-app preferences. You can disable notifications in your device settings or within the app at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything else, email us at feedback@try-moments.app and we will respond within a reasonable time frame.

California residents have the right under the CCPA to request disclosure of personal information we have collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information.

moments is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice.
